The surface was created first, masking fluid was dripped and randomly applied to create the white patterning of the giraffe and create a camouflaged appearance. Ink was applied and left to dry, then the masking fluid removed to reveal patterns. The placement of the image on the paper was made to take advantage of the random patterns
